PolitiTruth 4.0

PolitiTruth is a non-profit game aimed at distinguishing political facts from fiction.

Players can swipe left to indicate a news story is false and swipe right if they believe it to be true. Developed in collaboration with Pulitzer Prize-winning organization PolitiFact, the game encourages users to improve their abilities to discern credible sources of information while also gathering valuable statistics on public misconceptions.

By leveraging the competitive aspects of gameplay, PolitiTruth aims to enhance political awareness among its users. The game anonymously saves players' guesses online, allowing them to compare their political acumen with that of others and to identify commonly misunderstood stories.

This initiative seeks to create more robust data on public misconceptions in politics by engaging a wide audience. Through broad participation, the aim is to reduce response bias inherent in traditional surveys and offer more accurate insights.

PolitiTruth will debut at E3 2017 as part of the IndieCade showcase. The game was conceived by Christopher Cinq-Mars Jarvis and is a product of Cinq-Mars Media, a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to education.
